Emergency Cancellation

When a class cancels due to instructor personal emergency, severe weather, registered students will have the option to reschedule or to receive a partial refund (a $10 registration fee will be withheld from the refund). The National Weather Service will determine the severe weather.  

 

If you feel travel conditions are unsafe and you have not received a cancellation notice via phone call or e-mail, please contact Warp Speed CPR.

 

Low Enrollment Cancellation

Warp Speed CPR reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment. In case of a class cancellation, any student who has pre-paid for a class will have the option of rescheduling into another class at no additional charge or receive a full refund. You will be notified no later than 72 hours before the start of class if we decide to cancel a class due to low enrollment.

 

Student No-Show

If you had pre-paid for a class and did not show up on time or make any attempt to contact Warp Speed CPR that you will be unable to attend before the start of class, you will be considered a no-show. You have 60 days after the date of the missed class to contact Warp Speed CPR and either re-schedule or ask for a partial refund. If you do not contact Warp Speed CPR within the 30-day period, no refund will be issued.

 

Student Cancels Attendance

If you are unable to make it to your scheduled class, please contact Warp Speed CPR to re-schedule.

 

A proper cancellation requires a response via e-mail, text message, voicemail, or telephone call from a Warp Speed CPR representative. Calling, texting, or e-mailing that you are dropping your attendance before a Warp Speed CPR representative has had the opportunity to review and reply to your request DOES NOT qualify as effective canceling.  However, if you cancel before the start of class, the $10 registration fee will be withheld from your refund. A $10 registration fee is built into the cost of each class.  

 

Books and Materials Policy

1)  If you already have a current version of the American Heart Association (AHA) course book from a previous class, you may bring it to class.

 

2)  If you do not have a current course book, we recommend that you obtain an eBook and review the material before coming to class.  You can purchase an eBook from the following websites https://worldpoint.com/aha/bls/student-materials

 

3)  Warp Speed CPR will have physical books for you to use during class. If you decide to not buy an eBook, you may purchase a course book at the class, for an additional fee.  You may also purchase a physical from Worldpoint.com and have it mailed to you before if enough time allows.  You can purchase physical books from the following websites https://worldpoint.com/aha/bls/student-materials

 

* Course books are included in the cost of the class and distributed to First Aid class students. 

 

Attendance

Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire class to receive an AHA CPR certification card. Warp Speed CPR recommends that all students arrive to class 10 minutes early. Students entering more than 10 minutes late may be deemed a no-show and denied entry.

 

All students are required to participate in class and follow the instructor’s commands. Any student who becomes disruptive or fails to obey the instructor will be asked to leave class and will not receive a refund or certification card. 

 

Pass / Fail Policy

Registering and participating in a Warp Speed CPR class doesn’t guarantee that you will receive an AHA CPR card. If the instructor fails a student that cannot adequately perform the skills, the student will not obtain a certification card. The student will be eligible for a 50% refund.   

 

If you are unable to fully participate in a Warp Speed CPR class due to injury or illness, please make plans to re-schedule when you have fully recovered.

 

Students who abruptly leave class without consulting the instructor will be considered no-shows.

 

Mistaken Class Registration

Non-health care professionals who mistakenly register for a Health Care Provider class will receive the Heartsaver card in the mail within 1-2 weeks at no additional charge.

 

Healthcare professionals who mistakenly register for a Heartsaver class will receive the Health Care Provider card 1-2 weeks after Warp Speed CPR receives a $20 reprinting fee.

Payment Policy

All payments must be made in full before the beginning of class.  If you are unable to pay before class, you will be denied entry to class. Any registration fees charged before class will not be refunded if you are unable to complete your payment before the start of class. The student has the option to re-schedule for another class.

 

Class Start Time Policy

If the hosting facility delays the instructor more than 15 minutes from beginning the class, the instructor will leave the premises, and the hosting facility will need to make arrangements to re-schedule.

 

If the hosting facility chooses not to re-schedule, each student will receive a refund (minus the $10 registration fee) per student.

 

Confirmation

We ask that you send us an e-mail that you will be coming to our class.  In your e-mail would like you to include the name(s) of the people coming to the class.  E-mail confirmations insure correctly spelled names on cards.
